I have been working in the computer industry over the last 17 years.  My primary focus over the last 12 years has been Administering and Designing SAP systems.  I have managed, designed, implemented, upgraded, migrated and tuned operating systems, databases and SAP systems for numerous SAP clients.  This includes several complete implementations and upgrades.  I offer proven skills in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, training, presentation, and documentation of SAP systems with leadership skills and strong customer orientation.  Co-founded eSAPport, an SAP on-demand and full-service support company.

  • Technical Team Lead of the SAP Basis Team consisting of Basis, Database and AIX Administrators and Consultants.  Maintained a detailed task plan in order to manage the tasks and track progress.
  • Technical Project Lead for multi-phase hardware and software upgrade.  Phase 1 and 2: Upgraded / Installed the operating system from AIX 5.2 to AIX 5.3 and upgraded the hardware from IBM 6M1s and Winterhawk SP2 nodes to four P570s.  Phase 3 and 4: Upgraded / Installed / Configured R/3 from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 with ADS and BW from 3.0B to BI 7.0 with EP 70.
  • Designed and instructed a three-month detailed hands-on training program for the SAP Basis, Database and AIX administrators.
  • Project Lead for two DB2 upgrades. First from a 32-bit v7.1 database to a 64-bit v8.1 database and the second was from a v8.1 database to a v8.2 database.
  • Designed, Tested and Implemented the database layout for optimal performance using AIX, DB2, SAP and Hitachi/HP.  The final design include AIX stripping, DB2 stripping and using multiple array groups on the Hitachi USP1100 and the HP XP1024 in order to maximize performance and maintainability.

  • Wrote several Unix scripts to automate runstats and both classic and in-place reorgs.
  • Designed / Implemented / Maintained several user exits; One for restricting users to certain servers based on a user group to logon group mapping; Another to capture statistical data and export it to a flat file for analysis / audits of user and performance data.

  • Consulted Developers on ways to improve performance in ABAP programs with DB2 UDB.
